PSC Biotech Corporation is seeking an Administrative Assistant / Receptionist with exceptional interpersonal skills to support the Pomona office.  This is an exciting time for PSC as we continue to rapidly grow our work force.  We are seeking an energetic individual to serve as PSC headquarters’ ‘first point of contact’ and a helpful “go-to” resource for our employees and clients.  This is a great opportunity if you thrive in a changing and fast-paced environment.  If you enjoy helping people with a smile, are great on the phone, and performing administrative functions, this is the position for you.


You will be responsible for being the first point of contact for our Corporate Office. Your main responsibilities will involve filtering and transferring calls to our Corporate Office using our multi-line phone system, and general office administration work, such as filing and data entry. Put your knowledge to work as you provide guidance and direction to employees regarding questions, programs, processes, and systems; and also handle general office inquiries.  


We provide a collaborative and team oriented environment where you will work closely with Accounting, HR, Recruiting, Payroll, IT, and other supporting functions of the company.  We thrive on continuous improvement; and you will have the opportunity to use your analytical and strategic skills to help drive efficiency, enhance quality, and advance employee engagement.  You will also play a role in other areas that contribute to making PSC a best in class organization. 


Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for welcoming site visitors and managing visitor management system. Control access to facility through admittance screening process.
  • Supports staff with administrative support for day-to-day operations including calendaring, travel, office supply ordering, and expenses.
  • Perform clerical work, such as data entry, filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing.
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate office or person.
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
  • Provide excellent service for incoming phone calls.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail or deliveries.
  • Provide accurate information in-person and via phone or email.
  • Order office supplies and keep inventory of stock.
  • Maintain office security.
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationary and material.
  • Responsible for receiving incoming packages and providing recipient notification.
  • Assist with lunches and refreshments as needed for staff, meetings, visitors including ordering, set-up and clean-up.
  • Track and maintain office and breakroom supplies and order as necessary.
  • Manage incoming calls to the direct line and other general office duties as needed.
  • Maintain department and site contact lists.
  • Assist and provide support to other administrative support team members on an as needed basis.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a receptionist or administrative assistant.
  • One (1) year experience answering a multiline phone system.
  • Education:  some college attendance required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Excellent customer service driven communication to include written (including proper grammar) and verbal.
  • Excellent attention to detail for records management, filing, forms completion, auditing and data entry.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work proactively to meet anticipated requests.
  • Typing skills (minimum 45 WPM).
  • Excellent dependability.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to efficiently multitask.
